WELCOME TO
BARDO
CAFE
Serving wakefulness to the youth to sooth the unsatisfactoriness of life
MOVEMENT
WHAT WE DO
Bardo Café’s mission is to convey just a few of the radical teachings of the visionary sage, the Buddha – especially those regarding life, death and awareness – in an engaging way by harnessing the power of multimedia.
We aim to hold an interconnected space where young individuals feel safe and can have fun while developing a deeper sense of awareness, purpose and meaning in life.
EVENTS
MIND THE GAP
Bardo Café's Mind The Gap events in Byron Bay, Australia engage young people in activities that highlight awareness through creative mediums such as visuals, audio, music, dance, and art. We collaborate with DJs, VJs, and event coordinators to bring innovative experiences that rouse wakefulness and incite participants to “mind the gap” – to acknowledge their own awareness and its unrivaled magic.
BARDO CAFÉ PRESENTS
INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS
Coming Face-to-Face with Reality
Mindfulness is everywhere at the moment—in schools, wellbeing centres, psychology clinics, business boardrooms, and dharma centres.
But what’s the point?
Is it just being present?
Is that it?
COMING SOON!
1st Day
On the first day we will see how to develop your own authentic practice with a detailed look at the technique itself, highlighting the common errors both beginners and experienced practitioners make.
By understanding the practice clearly, we will see
how to effortlessly sidestep many of the difficulties we face in mindfulness and meditation.
2nd Day
On the second day we will see how to refine and develop this practice to take us beyond our ordinary experience.
The practice of mindfulness is grounded in the Buddha’s teachings, and so this simple practice can lead us directly into the heart of the Buddha’s wisdom. In this way, we come to see how mindfulness can take us far beyond what we may have thought possible.
